You have a mix of 2 very smart breeds. Your dog sounds bored! Dogs need mental and physical stimulation, which is what a positive based obedience class can offer her. You will be able to learn to communicate with her. Obedience training is a safety issues also, if she gets loose, it would be good for her to come when called. Puppies are a commitment, and digging, barking, chewing are all normal dog behaviors that we humans just don't like, but without training how will she learn? It's worth the effort!! Best Wishes!

the dog is doing this because of pinned up energy this is how a lot of dogs release this energy the first thing i would do if i came to your home is take this dog out for a run then a walk lasting atleast an hour but more likely 2 for your dog this a walk where im walking the dog not the other way around. you have to learn how to a source of strucure for your dog if you dont do these this it will only get worse this isnt a phase the is case where owner has to meet the energy level of dog. in the wild dogs function perfectly so why when we take them into our homes for a lot of people the dog has problems this is because we as human have provided for the animal dog that is in our home please keep in touch ill help if youll let me [email protected]

I have done everything possible to housebreak my 4 month old Jack Russell. I have talked to trainers, I have rewarded her for going outside, I have limited her food and water, etc. I don't know what else to do. I take her outside for 20 mins or so and she will not do anything, but as soon as I bring her back inside she using the bathroom. I have tried to crate train her with very little room in her crate and she always uses the bathroom in her crate on her bed every night. I'm tired of washing her bed everyday. Can someone please help. She has showed no improvement since we got her at 8wks.
