I was noticing for the past few weeks that my Doberman Vander had been having some difficulties walking on his front right leg. It only seemed to bother him when he just woke from a sleep as soon as he walked for a minute or two he didn't seem to have any more problems.

Well.... two days ago he began to have way more problems with the same leg, he could not even walk on it. He was in terrible pain! I brought him to his vet and they told me he has lime disease. The ironic thing about it is that he had been vaccinated against lime disease, the vet said that the company's that produce the vaccination dont tell the consumers that it really doesn't last a full year.

I had Vander vaccinated for lime disease only about 6 months ago and he still got it so it does go to prove that not all the vaccinations we give our dogs work.

The worm weather is approaching for some of us so its time to get out that flea and tick replant.

It's been about 4 weeks now, and my Vander boy is doing great!

I'm thinking about getting some chickens, chickens are natural tick exterminators they love love love to eat ticks. If you own chickens you will not have problems with ticks!
