What is the proper lighting for a Green Iguana, and why is it important that the iguana have this light?  =

uv day light during the day to help them get their light and the night light is for them during the night not as heat as the day light but still they get the same light  =

it depends on how long the cage is i had 2 Green Iguana's they both passed away awhile back, cause the place that sell the UV day and night lights were out and i didn't have gas money to go to another place that had it,they were well fed well took care of,,  =

Iguanas require UVB light to create vitamin D3 . Iguanas need this vitamin to help absorb calcium in their diets. Without full spectrum lighting, iguanas develop a condition called metabolic bone disease, which is a calcium deficiency.  =

Diet: Green iguanas are omnivorous, so they eat both plants and meat. They tend to eat mostly plants, though, especially leaves and fruits. Sometimes green iguanas (especially young ones) will eat eggs, insects, and small vertebrates.  =
