*LOL*

I dunno! He's barricaded himself into a toilet roll with lots of bedding and I haven't had the heart to disturb him by dragging him out!

He gave up on the nest that I got him because he chewed a hole in it and everytime I picked it up to check on him, he fell out!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna have to check up on him today. I did hear him moving around and shifting stuff during the night though :-D

First I must say.... Im sorry! I mis spelled his name. Second I have to tell you I think what you are doing is great! How many people have that much compassion that they will house a injured field mouse? None that I know! I have to respect one that can do such a thing! Wont you pleas keep me updated? Thanks!!!

Atomic what are you feeding him?

He's eating a general hamster mix and I add some small pieces of fruit too which he really likes.

Oh this is the life for him! He can lay around all day and have his food delivered to him.
Atomic I have about a dozen small critter carriers an houses, for just in case I come across a critter like you did. I have purchased them through out the years. I was always finding some little animal, and needed some thing to house them in. So I would go buy him/her a critter house!

Hi Lindalu - I got him a bigger critter house with places to hide and a wheel. He's got a lot more room to move around now. I just feel sorry for him 'cos he's a wild animal and should be out in the garden, but I guess this is the best I can do for him.

This is the problem with having cats! They catch stuff, but don't always kill it!

Atomic no need to feel bad he has an injury that would prevent him from properly functioning. He would not be able to live out in the garden now!

You have saved him from further dangers as well as giving him an extended life!

My cat would bring in birds, mice, rats you name it! I would have to chase them around my house trying not to harm them at the same time! I think if I were a mouse I would want you to find me! LOL!!!

Ah, I have a soft spot for mice :-D I used to keep pet mice when I was a teenager. They're so gentle and easy to keep.

Thats so true they are easy to keep. I love watching them run on their wheels, they are so cute! I have mostely owned rats and they dont get board enough to care to use wheels, so I missed out on the whole wheel thing!

What kind of stuff do rats get up to then? I've never really fancied one. Do they make good pets???

I love rats! Un like mice or gerbals they dont care to run on wheels and play like most rodants. They are far to intelligent for mindless play! My rats would play with cat balls, I would take them out of thier cage and let them roam in a critter play yard! They also learned to sit up for treats and come when you called them. Great pets and wonderful with kids!
