You have to set down rules. The dog cannot be allowed in your bed sometimes, and other times not allowed. This will only confuse him. When the dog does get in the bed, no matter how tired you are, take him out immediately.

Soon he will learn, he gets on the bed, you take him off. He will soon learn that its useless getting up, because your just going to take him off and he will stop the behaviour.

put his nice bed that he will sleep in in a crate and crate him at nite. or get a swinging baby gate so that you can get out in a hurry but the dog cant get in. It will break his little heart but in the end he will still love you caus ethats how dogs are :)

We let our dogs on our bed sometimes and sometimes we don't. They're not confused at all. It's like a treat to them :0)

every time she turns her back the dog is up there.
She has a child with special needs, moron

If you let your dog up on the bed as a treat, thats fine. But dont assume that all dogs can tell the difference between being allowed up on the bed only SOMETIMES.

so i dont want my old guy on my bed at all cause nobody gets a good sleep and with my child i try to get as much sleep as possible cause its hard sometimes plus the other 2 have been kennel trained since they were pups and this guy didnt have no training at all (except potty training but if i got beat the way he did i wouldnt want to pee in the house either) but i do think its time to stop being a softee and set down some limits thank u everyone for your input it really helps me

Try a baby gate, I have one to keep my dog out of certaint areas. You can put it in the door way so that the dog can not gain acces to the room.

Ok, just because I mis-read the post doesn't make me a moron. That was just un-called for. I do agree though, the dog should learn not to get on the bed and to stay down when you don't want him up there. We taught our dogs pretty much the same way by saying "off" and pushing them off the bed. It took a while but they got it.

Lin-ko dont pay any mind to Hiddy she want people to get a rise from what she says. She has been doing it for some time here, some are even thinking that there are multiple people going under her name. Just ignore her comments!
