Hi, I'm 6 months pregnant, single and happy about giving a birth , but I'm really afraid of the labor pain, can anyone tell me what exactly it feels like, and is really that awfully painful? I've asked some of my friends and they just told me, that it hurt, and that's it... but i want to know what to expect and how long it's gonna be....

If you get an epidural it's not bad but without an epidural you will feel as if you are being ripped apart by daggers dipped in molten lava!! Good luck.

you will not feel like your being ripped apart by daggers. every woman is diffrent and mine were very painful but there is meds you can get to ease the pain. your labor time depends on your body like i said everyone is diffrent. its called labor cause its not easy and yes it hurts but when you hold that baby for the first time you will forget the pain

To Experienced : I heard that you forget about the pain the minute you'll hold the baby, I hope it's true. How long does it usually last, and is it painful all the way?

My deliverys were not the nicest.. daughter #1 was 10lbs 14 oz.. daughter #2 was 10lbs 9oz... I did it all naturaly. i got ripped from one end to the other. anyway.. if found the labour wasn't that bad.. and if you do tear you probably won't feel it till after. That's how it was for me =D i hope my next one won't be so big! i am 12 weeks.. and single =(

Hi, Az, I'm single too, and I'm happy about it. If they're ruining your life, or good just for making babies, what do you need them for? Thats what I thought. The only thing I care about -is my baby. And the labor - I really hope it's not that bad.

Hey i am a totally baby when it comes to pain but ended up having a natural birth. all you have to do is shout at whoever, grit your teeth and its all over in minutes, and to be honest if it hurts that much then women would not go through it again and im on my second child, but im stopping there happy to say :)

Thanks Marie, you know, I'm just getting so impatient with the pregnancy lately, that I dont mind the pain even, just to get it over with :) But sometimes, I'm still sooo scared..

Hi again Helen, all will be fine, and in a few months you will be the one saying ahhh it wasnt so bad was it as you end up forgetting about most of the pain. Once the babies head is out the rest is a doddle anyway. Have you considered any pain relief though if you are that worried?

Hi,Marie, I was thiking about getting that injection ( forgot the name) they do in the lower back. But i want to try to do it all natural first- I hope i'll be able to, also, I'm afraid of tearing...

Extremely painful unless you get epidural.labor can take minutes or last hours and hours .Epidural's the best way to go for no pain

Hey Helen Im afraid of labour to I went in with my sister when she was giving birth, she took it really well it was a complete natural birth and she also is pregnant again due in June and she said she will have it naturally again so I guess it just depends every one is different I guess we just have to wait till it happens I just hope my son comes out healthy.

Hi, Chloe, Yes, I guess, I'll just have to wait and see... Sometimes I feel myself trapped, say, like on submarine , alone- and there's only one, painful way out LOL

I know right now to you , you are ready to get it over with and just cant wait because i was in th same spot as you were but your time will come .When i was in labor i didnt feel contractions at all because i slept the whole time until they woke me up to check to see how for i was and when they did it was time but my psrents told me i slept for 5 hours . It was from the pain killer meds which made me sleep but that was the best thing to do is get pain meds . but anys it took me a hour of pushing and all it feels like is like you have to take a crap its weird but it does anyways right when my son's head was coming out they wanted to cut me but i wouldnt let them but if you have to be cut get cut cause it really hurts if you just ripe instead. But many other moms say it does hurt or that it doesnt .Well to me it does hurts . Just dont be scared about it just relax and take it clam things will go better . All i can sayits different to many moms . but good luck to you and your baby .

Hi, Tammy, thank you for your support. I'm 8 months pregnant now, and it's getting closer and closer! But I just cant wait- sooo tired of being pregnant. I really, really hope I wont have a long labor, although they say, first one is always long...
