I'm 34 weeks now! and i dont have long to go now i guess. I have everything all set up, ready and bought for him to go.

All i get to do now is sit back and worry about the birth. Every little cramp or sensation gets me a little paranoid that i'm going into labour. I have hopefully a close friend from brisbane coming up here as long as i dont go into labour, xmas day, xmas eve or new years day!
Which funny thing is im due xmas day - Jan 3rd.

I really dont think im going to cope with the labour :(
What kind of things do you reccommend to pack to take with you to hospital.

I'm due Dec. 6th... so meh, I'm hoping to go into labor SOON.
1 ) Comfy PJ's
2) Go home outfit for you AND baby
3) Slippers/warm socks
4) Lip balm
5) Non-thong type underwear. (Not allowed to wear them... sorry I do so I thought I'd let you know.)
6) Pads ( for bleeding, and the hospital ones are annoying.)
7) I don't know if they give you these things, but toothbrush, toothpaste, etc such as that.
8) If you plan to nurse, some kind of like nursing lotion for your nipples. Lol my mum suggested this one.
9) Maybe a blanket for baby depending on what they give you. I don't know your hospital so.. lol
10) CAMERAS. Lol for pictures of baby of course.

You're welcome, and I'm having a girl lol. I'm really excited, especially because I found out today I'm dialated 1 cm and am loosing my mucous plug. Whoo.

ewwwwww Ayame ! Lol picked any names out yet?

How do you know your dialated? you do that yourself or you had a doctor look at you?

A leather strap or something, like they used in the war.

The doctor tells you if your dialated by measuring your cervix.
You cant do it yourself. However, its really no idication of how long youll have the baby, I had not even started dialating and they told me Id probably be a while yet. Within an hour I had the baby.

Well im DEFINLY having the gas, and the pethedine shot. I'm going to try and stay away from the Epidural ..since there have been a few accidents here with it, plus you cant get up and walk afterwards and i know..after all that comes out i will want a shower! Im not going to be sitting in my hospital bed potentially with crap, pee and blood and guts all over me :|

Sorry when you said you don't want to sit with crap pee, blood and guts all over you, I remembered that my brother who is now 15 came out with a poo on his head! ALl 3 of us were ceasarians (sorry really really bad spelling!) and well, he had a big poo on his head according to my mother. I had no eyebrows or it might have been eyelashes, can't remember myslef but my mum told me when she was holding one of the twins for the first time. I was very early. I want to have a water birth next time.. I always wanted one but I was so unprepared anyone would think I didn't know I was pregnant, but mentally I was not "up to the job" so I just tended to ignore life. Not a good method!

The doctor looked at me internally (ugh) and said I was. My hubby picked out the name Adriana. So hey, we both like it =D Ok so if I go into labor before she's born my hubby wants pictures... AHHH no thank you! What excuse can I use? XD

to tell you honestly what you take to the hospital isnt going to help you. i swear i read all the books posible about birth and none of it helped me. just remember leave your pride at the front door and pick it up on the way out. do what feels right to you. if you want to jump, jump, if you want to lie down the do that. good luck
