Hi everyone, i am 5 weeks pg and am very happy about it as we have been trying for around 6 months. But the strange thing is i am so nervous about the health of the life inside me, i feel its not real and i might miscarry as had some spotting. Despite reassurances from others, i remain anxious! Is it normal to feel so nervous at this time? Will it hurt my baby? Tips? Thanks so much for any help...

This is very normal. You are now responible for a life and it can be overwhelming at times esp when you have no evidence except a test and sore boobs! Find some other moms for support. The "What to Expect..." books are really helpful to inform you what to expect from your body. Your ligaments will start to become more "stretchy" and this causes some abdominal pain as it prepares for the growth. Your uterus is also growing and occasionally you may have a little spotting of red or brown blood. This will not hurt the baby. Your body is building the perfect house for the little one to live in and the first three months are the most draining to your body. Just take a deep breath. If you still have a concern you can always call your OB's nurse. Believe me, there is nothing you can ask that they haven't already heard! Blessings!
