My name is Kaitlyn. I am 20 years old and have an 8 month old daughter. I found out I was pregnant when I was 18 and when I was 2 months pregnant my daughters father left. Ever since then I have been raising my daughter by myself with the help of my parents. Her father does not ask about her at all and doesnt seem to care that she exsists. It breaks my heart knowing that my little girl doesnt have a father or even know who her father is. Despite not having a father,she has adjusted very well. I know that when she gets older and starts school she will come to me and ask: "mommy,why dont I have a daddy like all the other kids?" That day will be the worst day of my life. ↓

hey,

im 22 and im 36weeks pregnant right now and your post touched me. I feel the same even though the father is around he just isnt interested and too immature to care how he talks to me and treats me.

Im thinking i will end up being a single mom, but from hearing your story you seem to be coping well with the help from your parents.

why is it that he doesnt want to know? was you in a relationship together?

i wasnt it kinda just happened and now im pregnant and feel so lonely as the weather is warm today and i would like to spend time with him..I put it down that guys arent worth it in the end.

If he wants to miss out on your beautiful daugthers life than more fool him..he will find out whats hes been missing and soon it will be too late.

I would try to include him in birthdays or outings and see what he says, but when she turns around and asks you about her dad at least you can say you tried xxx
