| Im 17 i have been having almost EVERY sign of pregnancy and i told my mom...and she said if you are well take care of it i have to wait till sat. morning to take a test. Me and my BF have talked about it and hes different from most guys weve been together a couple months but weve been best friends for 3 years...he wouldnt want me to get an abortion and either do i were getting our own place soon but im still in high school. | I was exactly your age when I had my first daughter. It was not easy! I was blessed because I finished school on time, and later went to college. In the midst of that, I got pregnant with my second daughter. I was determined to finish school cause I did not want my kids to look at me as a looser. Raisning a family at your age is the most difficult thing that you will encounter. My suggestion is to you is to get seen first and then go from there. You really need to assess your life. It's very hard to look forward when you are that age, but think of your life with and without children. You can wait! I hope that you are not pregnant and if you are, this will be the biggest lesson of your life, so if you are..get ready. And one more important notion...A guy will tell you anything to get what he wants...Can you honestly say that he will be there in 1yr, 5yr, or 10yrs...no you can not. No one knows what the future holds. One thing that stuck in my mind after I had my first is MOMMA'S BABY...DADDY'S MAYBE! In other words you will have to take care of that baby regardless if he is in the picture or not. I can attest that when my children were teens, I acted like a teen, purley because I had to grow up so fast and I missed going to the movies, parties, and other events because I HAD CHILDREN TO RAISE!!!! | hi hun, im laura im 19 and i recently found out that im 5 weeks pregnant i to am terrified of telling my mum and dad...believe me i know exactly how you are feeling. Take a test or a second test, go to your doctor and they will refer you for a scan first. This is what you should be concentrating on...if you decide to have an abortion your parents need not know. I just want to say though that if you have the slightest doubt about an abortion then keep your baby...and dont let anyone tell you your too young or youll be a bad mum follow your heart and dont let parents pressure you or dont have an abortion if the only reason is the fact that your scared to tell parents or face responsibility. ↑ |

| my advice to any person who is facing the possibility of being a teen parent is that you should find out if you are actually pregnant and then if you are you should decide what option you will choose regarding the fetus you can find many resources in the phone book if you are scared to tell your parents and you plan on having an abortion in alot of states you dont need to tell them but there is nothing wrong with having a mediator present when you tell them. if you are not pregnant then i hope that you will learn from the scare and protect yourself from not only pregnancy but also diseases and the mental anguish involved ↑ |
