My daughter is 17 with Rett's Syndrome, she will be 18 in June. Just wondering if anybody knows about what special needs kids options are when they become 18/legal adult as it relates to social security or insurance coverage from the state/government?

actually since she's turning 18 she would qualify for SSDI (social security disability insurance) for adults because she's had Rett's since before she's turned 18.. (the website states 22 yrs of age)

Here's a link to the Social Security Administration that explains it..
