I'm having a baby girl in September & I've always loved my maiden name, Kellis. I always said I wanted to name my first daughter Kellis, but when I tell people who've never heard the name, they look at me blankly & nod. Is this a pretty name or too wierd as a first name???? ↓

do you prounonce it Kellissss or Keleese (the singer Kelis prounoces it Keleese)

WHatever you wanna call her thats fine. its your baby...and its a pretty name...better than alot I've heard. ↑

i like it.

i have the same problem with my daughter. her name is xylea but pronounced like zylea and everyone is like "x y lea"....and i am "like yea", and they say "oh a name with a z" and i say "no a name with a x" and then they get confused all over again. then i dont see them for a while and then they ask again "how do you say your daughters name?" i just say "xylea with a x."

i hate it.... ↑
