Any cool names out there you wanna share? :])

Sharla- My daughters middle name is Olivia and her first name is Kyra. She was named after Olivia Newton-John (I am a huge fan). So great job on picking that name!!

I also like the name Lydia for a girl. It's been around forever but you never hear it in schools? What do you think about Nolan for a boy? What do you think when you first hear it?

Name: Sharla | Date: Jun 8th, 2006 7:15 PM
Yeah, my Olivia is named after Olivia Newton-John as well lol, she was just sooo beautiful! Kyra is cute, Ive never heard it before but I think its adorable. What is its origin?

Lydia is a cute name, I have lots of friends in Spain and there is a lot of Lidia's there, lol, and they all seem to be gorgeous, lol, so its a good choice yet not very common.
I personally dont really like the name Nolan, it sounds really nerdy. I also like Jake, Jason and Matthew. You mentioned Nolan, Brett, Ryan, Luke and Blake, out of those I prefer Ryan and Luke, theyre traditional names ( as you can probably can tell I prefer those sort of names) coz I thnk other names go in and out of fashion and think that the child has to live with their name for the rest of their lives. I think Logan is quite cute as well. Hope Ive helped a bit, let me know. Have fun trying, its the best part, lol.

Did you know that I named my daughter after Olivia's role in Xanadu? heehee. (I know it was a bad movie) Except she spelt it with an i and I used a y. I thought the y looked more elegant. ;) Can you tell I'm a huge fan! lol. It's origin is Old English and it means beautiful, sun.

Nolan sounds nerdy huh? My hubby likes it after the ball player "Nolan Ryan". We LOVE Mathew too but we do not like Matt. It sounds to BLAH. I am sure that is what he would be called later. All of the names mentioned are very good, so thanks for the ideas! I agree, I move more towards the common, but not too common names, opposed to the really unique ones. I also like Claire, Audrey, Melanie, and Emily. They are old fashioned and I love that!! Keep em coming! :])

i named my girl aryana, or what about natalia

Name: Julia | Date: Jun 9th, 2006 2:16 AM
How would you pronounce "Aryana"? I cannot say it! Natalia is very different...and pretty! It sounds similiar to Nalia. My girlfriend wants that name if she ever has a girl. She liked Talia but her hubby said he thinks of Adrian from the rocky movies. lol!! So she just added the N instead.

Hi Sharla,
How is Olivia doing today? hehe. :]) I had thought maybe Aryana was pronounced that way, thanks for clarifying. You're right, I've never seen it with a Y, but it looks very pretty spelt that way.

Wow, your names are very interesting! Yes, I heard Aubrey too but it is becoming too popular now. So where are you from? Curious since your names are so different. ;) I also love Jayden, Sarah M's suggestion. If they called him Jay that would still be nice. Some of these names I am reading are fantastic and I have never heard them before! I knew it was a good idea to ask on this forum! lol. Have a great Monday all you hard working mommies!!!
