Hi ladies

How is everyone in here?

Everything is good with us! We're in Cumbria on our mini-break for this summer at centerparcs. Poppy and Daisy are now 5 and Sofia is 32 months old. My husband-to-be and I both have BIG news....we're expecting our fourth (and final) child :). Big surprise but he or she is due in February. We find out the sex next monday hopefully! He will be called Oliver John if a boy and Evelyn Sheila Rose if a girl :) So wish us luck, we'll need it!

So how are you all?

Hi Nicola,

Aw that's amazing news! Congratulations!!! You hoping for a boy this time, or another little girl? Oliver and Evelyn sound beautiful!

We're doing well, I'm about to start a degree in Social Work next month! Very excited about that, so Joey is going to start Pre-School, which I'm sure he's going to just love! He's 3 next month, and already toilet trained, and he can even dress himself now! His speech is coming on in leaps and bounds and he's turning into a right little looker! :-)

When are you getting married?

Awww Hello Gill!

Huge congrats on the degree, its honestly the best choice you'll do...im so glad you're going into social work, you'll be fantastic. A few tips, communitycare.co.uk is one of the most useful sites...everytime i had an essay i'd try a search on there and try and pull something up. That and Scie.org (or something like that) is also very useful.

The book Social Work Skills by Pamela Trevithick and all of the social work learning matters books are useful- i have quite the collection of those now!

We found out the sex this afternoon....we're having a little boy :) Very happy, and our little Ollie is healthy!

Glad to hear Joey's doing so well, Sofia's nearly 33 months old and doing really well too, she has such long hair now and is so grown up in herself, she's a chattebox and still as stubborn and easily irritated as she was as a newborn. Shes been potty trained for a little while now, she was so ready for it, it just kind of happened!

Aw a little boy sounds fantastic, especially after 3 girls. He'll be so spoilt with 3 big sisters to fuss over him! So glad to hear he's doing well.

Thank you for the advice on the degree. I can't wait! I'd really like to get into mental health etc. We'll see where the course takes me.

Should catch up on msn soon!

Mental health, very brave, but very rewarding. I've been working with dementia since February and occassionally on a psychiatric ward...love love love it! But have had to quit as need to take it easier. I have placenta previa and keep bleeding. Am on pelvic rest and although not completle bed rest yet,. been warned not to work and i may be put on bed rest if i have another severe bleed. havent had another big bleed for 3 wks and have another u/s at 20 weeks so hopefully things may have improved in there.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough pregnancy. :-( Btw do you have facebook? What's your details if you do?

I've worked with adults with learning disabilities and adults with dementia in the past, as well as frail elderly. I've always enjoyed it. Sure maybe you will get back into it again when you're ready. But you do right to take it easy for now.
