Okay I posted this in Due date and figured I would try here too.

The day you went into labor what were some of the things you felt other than the contractions?

Possible Signs Labor May Begin Soon.

· Backache: Not the type of backache you have in late pregnancy that changes when you shift position, but a persistent dull ache that makes you restless and irritable.

· Cramps. Abdominal cramping that is mild to moderate in discomfort.

· PMS symptoms: crabby, irritable.

· Nesting Urge.

· Frequent, soft bowel movements. Flu-like symptoms.

If you experience these symptoms, it is important to remember that they are not necessarily signs that labor is imminent. They may persist for days or weeks before labor begins. The presence of these symptoms is a good reminder to make sure you have everything prepared for labor and birth, and to make sure you are aware of what other signs to be watching for.

However, try not to get too excited about things, or start making too many plans assuming the baby is on its way. Continue your normal routines, get lots of rest, eat and drink well, nurture yourself in these precious days before the baby arrives.

here is what i found for you

I have been doing the EPO on and off for the last two weeks. But yesturday and today I have had stomach cramps and have just not felt good. I think I have been in the bathroom more than any other place today lol. I am also having a lot of pressure, like period cramps.

sounds like your body could be preparing for labor. just take it easy and try to rest while you can. good luck!

my water broke. but i have no real pains, or cramping, nothing. the night before though i went walking and right at the end of the 3 miles, i have the sharpest pain in my life that stopped me dead in my tracks. then my water broke early that next morning.

i never actually went into labor with either of mine. planned c-secs. but with my first i did start having back contractions. omg it was freakin painful!!!!! never in my life felt pain like that lol. wasn't enough to send me into labor though. they stopped them with some shot they gave me in the ER. i can only imagine what women feel when they are actually IN LABOR!!

I BOW TO THEM!!!! lmao

atomic, did you dialate on ur own? when i got to the hospital i was like 90% effaced, and barely 1cm dialated. haha 8 hours later, still the same, oh i hate pitocin

I didn't dilate at all. They put me on a drip the next day, but the baby was in the wrong position so I didn't progress much at all. I had an emergency c-section and he was born Strep B positive and had to go to special care. It was awful.

I had a planned c-section with my youngest, as I didn't want a repeat performance.

With my eldest son the doctor did a membrane sweep - without asking me and I think that he was the one who was responsible for premature rupture of my membranes. If I could get hold of him I'd f*cking throttle him!

They shouldn't interfere with women when they're pregnant. Leave it to nature unless the woman or baby is in danger.
