I had my baby two months ago and I am loseing so much hair. Is it due to hormone changes? I am really frustrated. I have long hair and I find it every where. I want to cut it but, it will go wavy but the kind that goes crazy. Any suggestions that can help me I would really appreciated, thanks

During pregnancy hair loss slows down so after you've had the baby you then begin to lose the hair that you didn't lose whilst pregnant. It may look like a lot, but if you hadn't been pregnant you would have lost it anyway. It's just that it happens all at once instead of being spread out over a few months. So, don't worry, it's perfectly normal and will slow down soon!

My Friend had the same problem. But she had her child 1 yr ago and is still loosing alot of hair. Her hair loss never went back to a normal rate. For some women is it possible for it to permanently change?

During all my pregnancy(60 my hair got real thick and then after my pregnancy my hair would come out in clumps. i have really long hair too. it does slow down about 6 months after the baby is born so don;t worry it will get better.

i have the same problem i asked my doc and she said that when i stop nursing than it should stop. she said it is cause the hormone change. when u r preg. then your hair is only in growth mode.(of course she put it differntly) and then when u have the baby then those hormones go away. but if u are nursing then your hormones won't complety go back to normal until u wean. hope that this helps
