can you smell when the seasons change? a couple weeks ago i was sitting outside, and it smelled like fall was coming....I thought that's weird....seems a bit early....then today i noticed some of the trees down our street are changing color already...one tree, the leaves are almost completely red and orange....i just don't remember this happening so early before...doesn't that seem kinda early to you?

Yes it does seem early, however if it has been dry where you live, they will turn sooner.. I always know when it is truly fall, because it "smells" like the first day of school... I can smell rain coming too.. Hubby thinks I'm nuts..

actually we've had more rain here than we usually get so i don't know what the hell is going on....

i can smell rain coming too!!

oh well....i LOVE the fall...my favorite season!! but if fall comes early, then winter will too then and I'm not happy about that...winters are depressing here. cause we live in a valley, when the cloud roll in it seems like you don't see the sun for days and days and days.....i think i'll use those tanning beds this winter...i couldn't for the last two years cause i been pregnant, but using the tanning booths in the winter always seems to make me feel better.

funny you say that. When i was at my moms....on morning early i went outside.....and YES.....i did "smell" like a winter smell in the air. Fresh, crip, cold......that sort of smell.

Trees here too.........just yesterday i noticed the sumacs are starting to turn. It hasnt been as hot here as other summers over the last few years.....so maybe its comin quick??!

Im just THRILLED it wasnt a cooker of a summer.....what an enjoyment! To be able to go out.....and actually spend the day out there. No run for cover cuz your about to fry!!!!!!!!!! Yes, yes, sunscreen for the kids though.....but still huh?!

I can tell when the season's are about to change by smell and the "crispness" in the air. Fall is definitely not around the corner here! It's hot (105 degrees & VERY muggy). I will be glad to see Fall this year!
