My son has asthma but it mainly only acts up in the winter months. He uses an Albuterol inhaler and also has the nebulizer machine for when the inhaler just isn't quite cutting it. He also suffers pretty much year round with a stuffy/runny nose but we think it's because of our cat and my husband smoking. My son takes an over the counter nasal decongestant daily that seems to keep it in check for the most part though. If he stops taking the pills for a few days then the symptoms flare up all over again and then it again takes a few days for the pills to kick in and clear him back up.As long as he remains on them he's fine. I want to get an air purifier but they cost $150 (for the one I want) and we would probably need 2 for our house, one for my sons room and one for the livingroom.I heard they really cut down on the dust in your house too. ↑ |
