hello i think its great having a big family i have 8 kids my husband works fulltime and i work from home part time. Our kids attend/have attendedCatholic School and we go on four weeks holidays every year. (Twice overseas)
we are NOT rich we have a mortgage that has gone up instead of down! We dont have a show home that some of my kids friends have (mainly because my children are at an age where they still like to break things) i have weekly drawings from my youngest (4yo)He's the artist of the family.... unfortunately they arent on paper....he perfers our hallway!! My house is not furnished with designer furniture and i am quite happy to shop at the second hand store or ebay. Our Car is the oldest in the school parking lot. At the end of the day when the homework has been done dinner cooked, bodies bathed and kids put to bed and silence reigns in our house i can honestly say
I LOVE MY LIFE.

It makes me feel good to hear how contented you sound. Many of our "friends" are all out for the almighty buck and won't have kids or have to have stuff because of how it looks and what their lifestyle would be. I'm with you!

thanks layne and jamberrt, people i have known over the years have questioned why we dont have newer nicer things and you know work more and contribute more to the mortgage so that you can be debt free. i sum it up in this advertisement i saw one day which had me rolling around the floor laughing ......
two school girls (about 6 or 7) sitting in the school ground eating lunch
one pulls out a cake and states my mother made this with all goodness and fresh ingredients, etc etc and then wrapped it carefully with love.
second girl pulls out pre-wrapped store bought cake and states
MY MOTHER HAS A LIFE!!!!
enjoy life i say and what better way than with your kids
p.s i am content but could do with a lotto win for fulfillment....LOL
