Last night I was in the ER with my son who had a horrible reaction to abilify! He had been taking the midicine for a week, and suddenly his neck became stiff, his eyes were stuck raised, he couldnt really talk because of the muscles in his mouth, and he had a headache. While in the ER he began drooling uncontrollably!! Before I took him in to the ER, I called the nurse at his Dr's office. She said that what he was experianced DID NOT sound like an allergic reaction. Even the doctor at the ER said no, its not a reaction. I knew it was, I checked online and saw what the side effects were. Then, when he started to drool, the Dr. knew I was right!! Be your kids advocate ladys! They gave him a shot of Benydryl and he was much better!!

Why are doctor's so reluctant to say that the kids are having side effects? My daughter's doctor refuses to accept that she reacts to sugar and that her OCD tendencies (which were not present before medication) are side effects. I guess we as parents know better eh?

Doesn't it frustrate you though? We deal with workers and doctors who have said, "Well, I learned something today." And then they act like god...very frustrating.
