I have finally faced the fact that I can't fix this (neither did 12 years of therapy and a cocktail of medications). I'm just so tired. It's affecting my job, marriage and health. I'm so Angry!! My son is 19, he lies, steals, has a drug problem. My fear is that if I throw him out he will be dead in a year OR I'll be dead from a heart attack if he stays. ↓

I fear that in 9yrs I'll be feeling the same way that you are now. Unfortunately, as hard as it is to say, at some point we have to let them make their own mistakes. We can't guard them and protect them their entire lives as much as we'd like to. If you know he has a drug problem or is stealing from you, I'd turn him in. If he goes to jail, perhaps he can get help? ↑
