Yes, it runs in families. Also stay away from medication with red dyes, ask for and buy, dye-free. I found yellow to be a problem, also. As Layne said, you can research on the net. A blue pop cycle has red dye. Frozen pizzas. It is a pain, but well worth it for those who find the relief at the end of the tunnel.

Rain, that is magnificiant!! ! Thank you! You are a godsent. You really are. This site has really been a blessing as well as I my new found friendships. I sleep a little better now haveing reached out. It is a relief have this place to turn to and you Rain and everyone are really a great group of gals!

I have found that red dyes are a problem for me. The difference in the way I feel after drinking raspberry marinda versus lemonade is actually really bad. I dont omit all red coloured things from my diet, mostly coz Im lazy, but any drink with red in it, or indeed loads of any colouring, is something I stay away from.
