Hello! My name is Sukie, and I am an adoption facilitator and an adoptive parent myself. I have read a few of the postings and can honestly say that one previous poster is right. There are a lot of scammers that are willing to take advantage of those who are the most desperate. If you are sincere and are a birthmother looking for a family or a family looking for a birthmother, I am willing to help you read through the bull, and find the adoptive match you are looking for. Please Please ask for and Get proof of Anyone saying they are an Adoption facilitator. Many are not ethical yes their are some that are but this does not sound right to me. So be a good consumer. Also remember an facilitators Job is to make money. Yes that means they are to help place babies and that is not legal in all states to use a facilitator. How many years has this facilitator been in business? What state do they operate out of? Is facilitating adoptions legal in that state? Ask for references both happy and those not pleased with their services. Also what are they upfront fee/s Do they provide counseling with NOn biased counselor for birthparents? do they verify pregnancy before match? What is due at time of initial contact? What is due at match? How do they handle situations where things do not go right? As well as what percent of their birthmoms actually place? This should be a small number as nationwide this is a small amount of all that even contact an adoption professional to get basic information. Best wishes to find your child.

FYI - facilitators are not licensed professionals - some don't event have to be bonded. Some states won't allow facilitators - be careful. ↑ |
