| Dear Birth Mother, Hello, our names are Dustin and Tara. We met in college while marching in the Arizona State University Band. We have been married for eight and a half years and have been together for almost twelve. We both have strong family values and have wanted to start a family since we were married. We both come from loving families who are very supportive in our search for a child. They would welcome a child into the family with open arms. We first found out we were having a difficult time conceiving about six months after we were married. We have spent the last eight years trying to overcome our infertility while researching, and finally starting the adoption process. After all the heartache we have felt throughout our journey we still have not given up on our chance at having a family. Our Family We both come from small, but close families. We are very involved in our family’s lives and are often together on weekends, vacations, and holidays. We have seven nieces and nephews and they are our pride and joy. We try to spend as much time with our family as possible and feel that it is important to have them as a support system. Dustin (As told by Tara) Dustin is a very caring, honest, and respectful man. He has a great sense of humor, musical talent, and an awesome memory. Dustin is 32 years old and has always been very healthy. Dustin grew up with two half-brothers, three step-brothers, and two sets of wonderful parents. We have also recently been blessed to have found Dustin’s half-brother, and his family, whom his mother gave up for adoption as a teenager. Dustin is an Assistant Store Manager for a local grocery store and he has been with the company for five years. Previous to that he was a supervisor for a local warehouse for five years. He is a hard worker and is dedicated to maintaining the high standards of his employer. Dustin aspires to go back to college and work in the field of public relations. Dustin’s biggest dream, however, is to become a father. Dustin is a wonderful uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He often takes them to fun and exciting places, spends time baby-sitting them, or just going over and playing with them. They love spending time with their Uncle Dustin because he can joke around and be a kid just like them. Tara (As told by Dustin) If there is one thing Tara has it is drive. She had the drive to be a great student, a great teacher and I know she has the drive to be a great mother! After high school Tara received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University. She has taught everything from 1st -4th grades for 10 years and loves every day she goes to work. She truly loves children and loves seeing their eyes light up when they learn something. On a personal level Tara is 33 years old and she has always been very healthy. She loves to read, shop, and go to the movies. She also loves traveling to places that are both fun and educational. More than anything else, Tara longs for children of her own. I could not have picked a better woman to one day be the mother to our children. For the time being, unbeknownst to them, our nieces and nephews fill some of this void. But I know every day she longs to put the parenting skills that God has given her to work with her own children. Our Home We had a home built in 2002 in an up and coming subdivision. We are located within a great school district that is dedicated to help all children succeed. We have a lot of young families in our neighborhood, who have also begun the process of raising families. There are a lot of fun activities planned right here in our neighborhood and we are just steps from a park. If you drive around you will see many children playing all around. We have a nice home with four bedrooms, a big back yard, and a lot of room to play. Recreational Activities As a couple we enjoy spending a lot of time together. Some of our interests are bowling, traveling, and watching movies, camping, playing board games and video games. We also like to attend sporting events and the many different activities our nieces and nephews are involved in. Some of our favorite vacation destinations have included going to Germany, theme parks, and cruises to the Caribbean. We want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for making the choice of adoption. We know this is probably the hardest decision you will ever face and we admire your courage and selflessness. We also know that you came to this decision because you want what's best for this child; a happy home, a good education and a bright future. Rest assured we want the same thing.
