Than ks! We adopted a baby 5 years ago (our joy and life) Since we already got to raise our baby, we would like to adopt an older child and allow another couple the chance of raising an infant. Also, our son is 5 and we would like someone closer to his age.

We are told we are too old to adopt a child under 5 (unless it's handicapped) from DCS. It's reallt sad that they're mind set still live sback in the days when people died at the age of 50. We want to adopt domestically because of our personal belief that a child needs to reconnect with its first family later in live IF it wants to. I mean, 18 years in the life of a person can change their life a LOT. We think a child needs to be able to ask the questions that naturally come up in all adoption situations.
