How many mothers had c-sections or induced labor? Is it possible that the hormones associated with birth are essential to the baby? With the escallation of c-sections, is it possible that depriving the child of these hormones contributes to the escallation of autism??? Research results out there anyone?

makes one wonder because the option for c-sections vs vaginal birth has drastically increased over the years...and so has Autism, and still, there is such a gap of doubt in this theory -how does one account for the many non-autistic children born by c-section and those with autism delivered vaginally?

Hi Scarlett,

I had 3 c-sections and all of my 3 kids are autistic, I kind of wonder if the ultrasounds had anything to do with it. I don't know about your doctor but mine always did an internal ultrasound until the 4th or 5th month.

sorry forgot to tell you that my first son, was induced labor but did not dilate at all,and did not feel any contractions, even though they were very severe according to my doctor and my second one when I went for my c-section I already had contractions, but was not feeling anything.
