He is probably only eating about 3 oz at a time which should be around 2-3 hours. So add that by how many times he normally eats during the night. Also you would need to pump for half of the next day as well if you have more than 1 drink. Alcohol would enter his body the next day. So you should pump and dump for about 3 feedings if more than one. They don't tolerate the liquor like we "can". Be safe. ↑ |

pump & dump there is no need unless you are out and are going to miss a feeding and are feeling the effects of alcohol. Like with blood, alcohol leaves the system without you having to have a blood transfusion, same thing with breastmilk. The rule of thumb; if you are sober enough to drive you are sober enough to nurse.
