I had that problem too, is Farah just wanting to suckle or is she actually drinking? Sometimes my little one simply wants to comfort nurse but he isn't drinking. He only takes the binky when hes in the car or we are out and at night (I think he would nurse all night if I allowed it). I believe the experts say not introduce the binky until 4-6 weeks of age for BF babies, around the same time you would introduce a bottle. I didn't introduce the bottle before the 2 month mark and now my little guy refuses to take it(my excuse for not working, LOL). so a word of advice if you want her to take an occasional bottle or if you have to return to work, don't wait too long to introduce it. ↑ |

At first I was super against a pacifier (my mother never had one in any of our mouths) but after having a baby myself, it seemed like a good option for those times when you simply can't feed the baby (when most of those times they just ate anyway) my son used it for about a month and half and suddenly disliked it. I was fine with that though, and by that time he was used to the fact that I would only nurse him to feed and not just when he felt like it, so it wourked out great for me. Don't worry no matter what, your baby is going to prefer you to the pacifier. good luck! ↑ |

she actually took the pacifier yesterday! We were in the car about 15 minutes from home when she started wailing so I gave it a shot. I had to rest my hand against the side of her face though. I think it kinda tricked her since when she nurses theres' always the warmth on her face from the rest of my big boob, lol. ↑ |
