Ok so I had my daughter on 03/18/07. I started to breast feed right away, but after about 3 days I noticed that she was not satisified after her feeding even if I gave her both breast. Now keep in mind that I had a breast reduction in 2000, but I was already a bit worried that I was not getting enough nutrition to her. I have started feeding and pumping to increase my supply and jsut today I went and got some fenugreek. All of the web sites I find give instructions on how to take the herb, but when I was at the nutrition store I got the extract, because the lady said that it was stronger. She also told me that I didn't need to take as many pills since it was more concentrated. Has anyone used fenugreek and if so are does anyone know about the extract vs the herbal supplement in pill form? I am really hoping to increase my supply enough to stop supplementing. Right now I have to give her aboug 1 -1.5 oz of formula after she feeds at each breast to fill her up. She is starting to get lazy at the breast and I am worried that she is going to stop feeding and only be interested in the supplement. Any advise or sugestions would be helpful. Thanks. ↓

If you want to increase your supply go on maxillon not sure how to spell it. Its a tablet you take to stop you vommiting the doctor told me about it, it works I tried it. ↑

Maxilon's chemical name is Metoclopramide.

I took Fenugreek Capsules when I was breastfeeding as I'd had a reduction 10 years previously. It worked well for me. I took capsules with the powdered extract inside. ↑

Crikey, I can't remember. About 6 I think. Might have been 8. You have to take quite a few! *LOL*

It makes your milk and sweat smell a bit funny...kind of spicy! *LOL* ↑

thanks. I have only been taking 2 pills twice a day, but I am going to bumb it up to three times a day and see if that helps. I read that you have to take enough to make your sweat and pee smell a bit like maple LOL I don't smell like that yet ↑

What are the directions on the bottle for how many you need to take? ↑
