hi Sonia. I see what you mean as my baby is the same. mine is two months old and the doc said it is too early to trin her. but for your case I think it is high time.

I would recommend feeding your baby some cereal shortly before bedtime. Cereal takes longer to digest, so that should help some.

As for sex, during this time, it has to be planned. Spontaneous sex is unfortunately delayed for a bit. Find a babysitter you can leave baby with and go back home. Planning it can make it very exciting.

I found that with my babies that their sleeping schedule changed quite a lot. So though your 7 month old is waking up so much now, that may not always be the case.

Seriously, try the cereal shortly before bed. It should cut out the first wake up at least.

Cheryl,
I would feed her rice by spoon before bed. Try that and see how it works. Be sure to wipe her gums with a dampened soft cloth before putting her down though.

Some babies just wake up in the night though. My middle one started sleeping through the night at some point, then started waking up again, not to sleep through the night until she was almost 2.

Good luck

Hello-
i tried the past 2 nights to feed my daughter cereal by spoon before bed. the first night it didn't help much.
last night, -oh i cherish last night-she slept all night long again.
i am also the one with the 5 month old rolling over constantly-Well i went and bought her a diferent wedge for her bed. which worked awesome last night. i don't want to get my hopes up yet though because her old wedge used to work good for her too. so, i am not sur if its the cereal that helped or the wedge.
it feels so nice to actually say i got a full nights sleep.
thanks

Four times a night for such a young little one sounds lovely- we were at about 6 times at that age. Its about 3 times now that he's 17 months. But I'm very leary of sleep training- it can have detrimental effects on a child's attatchment. We have fun getting creative- sex doesn't have to be at night or in the bed.
