HI! Im in middle east right now working and iam on my 27 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend when back to the sate to sign the divorce paper it should be done earlier but the wife keep filing for a contested dvorce..after signing of divorce paper how long will the process take? soon i will give birth to a girl and im so depressed that my child is gonna be illegitimate child..can my boyfriend give hs name to our baby even if we are not married yet?? any knowledge you can give me on this matter i really appreciate it! thank you! ↓

Yes, your child can certaintly take your boyfriends last name. Make sure you name him on the birth cert and give her his last name. This can be done I know in the US, but if you live in the middle east and are not a US resident, then I can't be sure if this can be done or not. ↑

dont worry so much.. your baby is not the only illegitimate child on the planet. I have two of them. like the last person stated your daughter will be able to take your husbands last name. good luck and calm down :) ↑

my boyfriend is an american and iam an asian and iam home now and we are no longer working in the middle east. you are right i can give my baby girl his last name. good luck to you too! ↑

I recently found out that my husband has a 21 years old illigimate child.

We have together 3 daughters (32,30, 26 yrars old) and I thought that our marriage was good even though I have Multiple sclerosis for 25 years and this situation gives me great disstress.

The greatest problem I am having that my husband agreed when the mother of the child asked to use our family name for the child.

Is that legal without my concent?

Yes its legal without your consent. He's the father and this child of his really has nothing to do with you so you realy dont have any say. Sorry. ↑

yess, your baby will be able to get your boyfriends name. he'll have to be there for the birth and sign on it, but you also have to name him on the birth certificatee. =] ↑
