So...,you are only separated,not divorced? I think your best interest would be to get your own lawyer,someone who will look out for your needs and see to it that you don't get screwed by your husband. Seems a little peculiar that hubby and his attorney are (running the show). You should get your own lawyer now before you end up with everything you DIDN"T want. If you can't afford your own then call your local welfare office and ask if there's an attorney who can help you on an income based fee scale.I wouldn't tell your husband you are doing this either at least not until the ball is rolling and you have an attorney and you know full well where you stand.Your husband probably thinks you don't know any better and aren't smart enough to figure things out. He's probably hoping things will go on as they have,(him having an attorney,and you not),just so he can get the best deal on everything in the end without it costing him muchmore than he wanted it to.
