Could someone please let me know if a seperation agreement regarding property and children and custody are 2 totally seperate issues. Eg; I have asked my ex to please put in one of the clauses of the agreement to state that my daughter and myself are able to live permanatly in the residence we are in and he has refused saying that his solicitor has said that this is a totally different issue all together and would mean a seperate contract or mediation i dont know if i can trust them is this correct? does any one know ? thanks so much if you can help!!!!!

So...,you are only separated, not divorced? I think your best interest would be to get your own lawyer, someone who will look out for your needs and see to it that you don't get screwed by your husband. Seems a little peculiar that hubby and his attorney are (running the show). You should get your own lawyer now before you end up with everything you DIDN"T want. If you can't afford your own then call your local welfare office and ask if there's an attorney who can help you on an income based fee scale.I wouldn't tell your husband you are doing this either at least not until the ball is rolling and you have an attorney and you know full well where you stand.Your husband probably thinks you don't know any better and aren't smart enough to figure things out. He's probably hoping things will go on as they have,(him having an attorney, and you not),just so he can get the best deal on everything in the end without it costing him muchmore than he wanted it to. Get your own attorney without help from him and prepare yourself for divorce court.
