Im due on the 29th of Dec. and my last appt. I was 2 1/2 cm dilated and 50% thinned out. Im not sure how much longer i have. Im having severe contractions and lots of back pain. Im nervous yet excited! ↓

Is this your 1st pg? I'm due 12/18 and only 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Your cervix needs to soften more before you can go into labor. My dr. said that effacement is more importnat than the actual dilation b/c you'll never dilate beyond 4 when your cervix is ripened ↑

it could stop if your only 2cms, when i was checked out i was only 2cm they warned me it could stop but it took 3 days for me to get from 2cm to 10cms they took me onto labout suite at 5 1/2cms and they broke my waters from there thats when it went fast ↑

Hiya...I think it's different for every woman (I guess you've prolly heard that one before :)), but I was 2 cm and 50% for about three weeks before Wyatt was born...when I went into the hospital I was only 4cm and 70% with contractions 4-5 mins apart. Good luck with your impending birth! ↑
