So I posted about a yeast infection I have which my OB told me to get Monistat for...I'm going to start it Sunday, but anyways I went to the restroom today when I was at my child care class and I noticed this greenish colored almost snot-like discharge in my pantyliner. it was just a little bit and unlike any discharge, w/ or w/out a yeast infection I've ever had. Since then I haven't had any, and I was worried so I asked the nurse who's my childcare instructor and she said it could be the mucus plus, but I'm still a little worried. The discharge doesn't have any smeel to it and I'm not real itchy or burning at all down there...what do y'all ladies think?? SOrry I'm just kinda freaking out ↓

| For the safety of your child you better go to the doctor and let her check it out, not to say you have something but just to be on the safe side, mucus plug I hear is pinkish ↑ |

| Kristy, it sounds like you passed a bit of your mucus plug. It's yellow/greenish and looks like a "snot". It has no smell and since it did not have a blood tint, you're fine. I'm 21 weeks and have lost bit and pieces of mine three times. My doctor is not the least bit worried and neither should you be. ↑ |

| Perhaps I am naieve but if we arent health care professionals and she hasnt asked her doctor about it before shouldnt Kristy84 consult her doctor about it? I know I am going to be obsessive when we are pregnant, but wouldnt it be better to err on the side of caution, I know that if something happened to myself and I dismissed it as nothing that I would find it hard to forgive myself, but as I said I have never been pregnant before. Anyway as a day has passed any news Kristy84? ↑ |

| Thanks ladies for your advice...I haven't passed any more mucous since yesterday afternoon except for some clear stuff later this evening. I took a Q-tip and swabbed and everything was normal so I'm not worried. I'll mention it to my dr. next Wed. b ut since all the med sites said only to be alarmed if there was a foul smell or blood accomponying the discharge, I'm not too concerned. Plus, the nurse told me that it's normal...thanks again ladies for the advice on a quite "personal" subject. ↑ |

Your like due in the next 6 weeks or so..RIGHT. Chances are it's was some of your mucus plug which you can lose weeks before going into labor. Occassionally it can be accompanied by a little bit of blood as well. I would have said maybe you have an infection other then the yeast infection however, you had a swab test done which came back normal and ruled this out already. So I am thinking that you are just starting to lose your mucus plug. ↑ |

KRISTY, THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE MUCUS PLUG. I NEVER LOST MINE (OR I NEVER GOT TO SEE IT) WITH CHRISTIAN, BUT I DID READ ABOUT IT AND THAT IS HOW IT LOOKS. ITS ALMOST YOUR TIME! AREN'T YOU EXCITED? BUT, CHECK WITH YOUR OBSTETRICIAN JUST TO BE SURE AND LET US KNOW SO WE WON'T BE WORRIED ABOUT YOU.
