I was just looking at my "Need to buy" list.. for baby, for Christmas, for our new house... It's driving me insane. I know that we'll get everything we need, it just seems like we have a hundred different things to get in the next few months. I'm looking at our budget and trying to break it down to what I'm going to get each week... but even then it still looks like it's going to be so long before we get everything.

We need a special table for our dining room (which is galley style with the kitchen) and drapes for every window in the house. Plus we still need baby bedding, a swing, a highchair, and a crib mattress... and the kids haven't even given us their X-mas lists yet.

Anyone else a little stressed with the holidays coming up?

We are giving everyone gift cards. The baby is due a week before christmas and our families live far away so we are just doing that. I know people dont expect much from us this year. But yeah, there is always stuff to buy for our house too and babies need so much stuff. Luckily we have almost everything, but it is still stressful beacuse there is always something else!

Definitely feeling overwhelmed and freaked out right now. Not for the stuff that we still need to buy, but just because the baby is only 2 weeks away. I was doing all the baby's laundry today and while I was folding it I just kinda freaked out. I was folding the newborn onsies and that's when I realized that I've never dressed an infant before and I've never changed a diaper before and I've never fed a baby before and I've never done a while lot of stuff before... and I just started freaking out and crying.

yes, that's funny because today I feeling very overwhelmed? I got my maternity package from work and I thought it would a lot more, it's hard to think for a year I will be only making 60% of my income, plus paying for a car( I have a company car they are covering for 17 weeks maternity leave but after I have to assume payments or get something else).
And yes, baby stuff, christmas stuff etc. I just need a really BIG BIG glass of wine...oh right I am pregnant crap lol.

I am almost half way there and I have not gotten anything yet. I am not that freaked out though. I know it will all come together.

Yes very much so. We 're still remodeling our house that we bought in April, so things aren't totally in order yet. Thank goodness we have the nursery done and the main essentuals bought. At Thanksgiving, Michael's dad is coming down and buying us everything else we need. Just remember your little one isn't going to need a highchair right away and you have some time after the holidays before you're due. I would just try to enjoy x-mas and then buy stuff for the baby, when the things are on sale. It seems as though Michael's pay check dissappers every wekk on nothing...ahhhh...i want her to be here soooo bad!!!

I am not so stressed about the holidays, but i am more stressed out about getting married this week, getting all this paper work done with the air force, making sure everything is packed and sent overseas, finishing the baby shopping, and moving into our new house on base, we're gonna have like nothing except the provided furniture, and with him as the only one working, i want to pull my hair out.. blah.
