| You gave them both at the same time? Kaden loves avacado with a little lemon juice and some black pepper. He will eat it plain, but I have made it like that since I first started feeding them. Bananas Kaden didn't like unless I added a little warm water and left it chunky. Now he feeds himself banana chunks and eats them no problem. ↑ |

A little bit of lemon juice is ok... I just meant don't feed him orange slices or that sort of thing. Just a few drops of juice adds flavor. I always just mashed the avacados. They should be smooth if they are ripe enough, but some chunks are ok. He just isn't used to the texture. Was he choking, or just gagging? It's normal for them to gag in the beginning.
Some melons can cause rashes, but I don't think cantelope is one of them. Kaden loves it and he has never had any problems and I got asked to do a post for a group I am in on Cafemom and tons of them tried the cantelope ice cube idea and no one mentioned anything. Our babies were about 6 months then... ↑ |

Well if he is just sucking, he may not quite be ready for solids yet.
I just put the cantelope in a blender with a little water and made a puree... then I froze it in an ice cube tray. You could also give them in a mesh feeder if you did get one, but I think they need to chew a bit to get it out. ↑ |

| when he eats the biscuits he chews, hes just lazy. like he can hold his bottle himself but he knows ill do it. hes a butthead. he was eating solids before too but i stopped bc the jars are just so expensive ↑ |
