I have never been to a baby shower before. So I have no idea what to even do for mine. I dont know many people, so there wouldnt be many people at it if I did have one. Whats the first thing to do to start planning for one? What kind of things do you do. Is it like a "lets get together and eat" thing including gifts or is there more involved? I am just completely clueless! Help!

I think a baby shower is a must even more so with a first baby I got soooo much stuff I will not be shopping for at least three months well maybe not but it's still really great I had a big shower we had lunch meat sandwiches and chesse and those relish trays of which i guess most don't and MOST showers do have cake and punch we had that too and we played baby games like word scramble and they have a baby bingo umm we did were even takes a piece of string and tries to cut it to match how big your belly is we had prizes for the games some showers have prizes that go to the mommy to be and they are all for baby and others have gifts for the guest to take home if it is a small shower you can ask everyone to bring a baby picture of them selfs and when they come in someone not playing the game puts numbers next to the pic and everyone has to guess who is who. I think they are so much fun for everyone people at my shower went crazy on buying gifts

My sister is hosting one of mine. It's a brunch thing with crepes to quiche to fruit to some sandwiches. I want white cake with white frosting every day so we'll have a big cake. My sister is doing punch but she's also doing some adult beverages like mimosas and stuff. we're playing baby bingo i think. i hate showers and games but for the baby to get presents, I'll suffer through. You can also google baby shower ideas or baby shower etiquette and there are tons of tips.

Yah, a baby shower is definitely a good idea. My aunt planned it. With mine we had a small family/friends get together and we had finger foods, appetizer stuff and then played games and had a cake and opened gifts. It was just a nice time to get together and I got a lot of great stuff too.
