LOL I loved the Confession thread and thought it did us all some good (and probably lifted a lot of guilt off of all of our chests.) But as easy as it is to bash ourselves, I was wondering what are the things you guys are most proud of yourself for doing during your pregnancies? Mine would be:

1- I don't ever use pregnancy as an excuse to be in a bad mood. Every now and again, I do tear up over nothing, but I do not use this as a reason to go off on my husband for nothing, and would like to think when I do feel a little irrational, I keep myself in check.

2- I quit my job to be a stay at home mom when my son comes. Even though I'm extremely lazy when it comes to doing an exercises, I'd like to think I'm making good on my part and keeping my house clean and getting my husband's dinner cooked when he's home from work.

3- I hate milk but have made it a point to drink it so much that I'm actually starting to like it a little.

Hmm...maybe there's more, but finding the good things in myself is a infinitely harder task than finding the bad. LOL

1) I also hate milk but have been having some (even if it's just in cereal) YAY!
2) I am very bad at taking pills, but have taken my prenatal vitamin every day. Even when I was taking the 2 a day ones. YAY!
3) I have continued working up until this point (31 weeks) and plan on working for a few more weeks. I hate work, i don;t know why i keep going. YAY!
4) I am also going to be a stay at home mom. YAY!
5) I still give my husband regular sex and fool around even though somedays I would rather kill myself. YAY!

Thats about it for now!

I can think of a few good confessions also:

#1. I walk all of the time. Up 10 flights of stairs (I live on a San Fransico steep hill!) and over 3 miles usually. My butt looks better now than it did pre-pregnancy. Granted I do that because I don't have a car - but excersize is excersize.

#2. I've hardly gained any weight - from the back you'd never know I was pregnant.

#3. I wake up at 4:30 to make breakfast for Paul every morning, pack his lunch each day, and have dinner ready every night when he gets home.. even when I don't want to.

#4. I eat well. Mostly fresh, un-processed stuff - and not to much. Only very very occasionally do I eat fast food. (Twice so far in this pregnancy).

#5. I don't spend money. Ever. I literally just pay bills and that's it because I'm so fanatical about having enough of it. I bought some baby stuff - but didn't over do it. I am using rubberbands on all my pre-pregnancy pants, and just stretching my shirts over my basketball belly because the thought of spending money on myself just doesn't seem right when there is so much other stuff to buy and save for.

well lets see

I have not had one drop of wine or beer since I found out. I didn't think that I would miss it, but I do enjoy a good glass of wine with nice dinner.

I didn't have and "bad" habit to quit so there is not much to be proud of really. I don't smoke, hardly ever drink soda, don't use drugs, but I didn't do those things pre pregnancy so I can be proud of not doing them.

Oh - and that reminds me. I DIDN'T DRINK THROUGH MY WHOLE PREGNANCY!!! lol. I quit again two weeks before. Which is saying something considering "quitting" involves a hospital stay and some serious detox meds for me... I'll have 5 months sober on the 7th. Go me!

Congratulations Nicole. You seem to have gone through some amazing changes for your little one. You should be proud because these selfless acts are what is going to make you a wonderful mother.

OK THIS IS GOOD TOO...

1. I AM STILL WORKING MY BUTT OFF EVEN THOUGH I AM TIRED AND WORE OUT.
2. I STILL CLEAN MY HOUSE DAILY, WITHOUT TO MUCH COMPLAINING!
3. I GOT SOME BIG BOOBIES NOW!!

OK I AM NOT THAT GREAT THATS ALL I CAN THINK OF RIGHT NOW!

Oh yeah, Forgot about the boobies! I did lose my ass though...

1) I still take my pregnant ass to school and I just got done writing a mid-term paper for another class

2) I also don't use my pregnancy as an excuse to be a bit**

3) I went from eating 700 cals pre-pregnancy to a good amount now...I don't count calories anymore; it would drive me crazy

4) I've been trying to be an all around better person so that I can lay a good foundation for my child's beliefs

Excellent idea! This one will be much more difficult for me to do, but I think it's important that we all give ourselves a pat on the back.

#1 I have been keeping meticulous records of this pregnancy. I write in my journal on babycrowd whenever something new, exciting or even scary happens. I also have another book that I write down my weight and what happens week to week in.

#2 I have developed a love for Fuji apples and I actually CRAVE them! I have never craved anything besides chocolate and fast food before.

#3 As someone who has struggled with acne her whole life, got rid of it finally by taking Accutane and was zit-free for two years. I have now gotten "pregnancy" zits. They don't even matter to me anymore and don't really affect my self-esteem like they used to because I look at them as a sign the baby is healthy and my hormones are changing to suit her needs.

#4 Because of this pregnancy, my sister-in-law and I have gotten much, much closer and talk on the phone nearly once a week. I am so glad to have this relationship.

Whew....that was HARD!

Hehe it's always easier to find the bad stuff about ourselves then it is the good. I kept reading the topic trying to find "good" things about myself and well wow that's hard lol.
1) That i'm impressed with myself for being able to take my vitamins most of the time. I had the two a day ones. i never remember to take pills so yay.
2) I am going to be a stay at home mom for a while, but going to go back to school soon.
3) I haven't had a drink since I found out I was pregnant, it's driving me nuts not being able to have a glass every now and then tho.
I can't think of anything else.

Hi Randi... I just noticed your name and havnt seen you here before... If you are new... Welcome... if not sorry I am blind!!

LMAO Randi... Unfortunately that's something that I'd have to put on the other confession list... It seems like I get worse and worse at peeing in the cup every time I go to the doctor... Last time I peed on my hand more than in the cup, and I can no longer determine where the stream's going to start.

When I went to the dr the first time they told me to pee in the cup. well I saw some dixi cups, but I was expecting on of these sealed containers. They have this cubbord above the toilet so I got in there and found one of the sealed cups and used it. When the nurse came in she was laughing and told me that is what the dixi cups are for. I felt kinda bad going through their stuff after that, but I have been going there since I was 16 so I didn't feel bad for too long
