How come you are considered full term at 37 weeks but your due date is calculated at 40 weeks?

They work it from your last period because you have to bare in mind that everyone's cycle is different and we ovulate at different stages of the month from one another.

37 weeks is the term that a baby is fully developed and can survive outside the mother's body therefore if born at that stage would not be considered pre-term/premature.

I won't have that problem; my due date was 2 days ago..... grrrr
