Hello everyone,

I am new on this whole chat thing but I think its kinda neat to share symptoms and stories about pregnancy. Is anyone in here due at the end of this month? if so, how are you feeling?

Im 24 years old and this will be my first child. Im having a girl and her name will be Ariel. Im getting so anxious though to meet her. I keep hoping that the drs made a mistake on my due date and she'll come sooner. I know that sounds crazy but drs say it is safe to deliver anytime after your 36th week. Is this your first?

yeah i cant wait till she comes too !! i am dreading the process of it all.. but i just want her here !! This is my 1st child, I'm having a girl and naming her Isabelle. im 20 years old.

That is a very pretty name! Same here when it comes to thinking about the big day! I've been told by friends to expect the worse when it comes to delivery, this way I'll surprise myself and realize its not as bad as people make it out to be. I get alot of BH contractions and always wonder how much more real labor will hurt. I guess what scares me is the unknown, but hell, every woman goes through it and is fine within no time at all. Some days I feel so much pelvic pain that I swear my child is gonna slip out! I have an appt this Tuesday so hopefully they do an internal exam to see if I've begun to dialate any.. How are you feeling?

They don't do internals here unless i think i am in labor, I'm from New Zealand.
i have only ever noticed 1 braxton hicks.. and that was a few weeks ago..
but im finding it hard to walk around for too long.. i have ALOT of pressure down below.. and shooting pains in my pelvis area.
Sometimes i find myself waddling like a duck cause of all the pressure ahahha.

NIKKI =D
did your doctor say whether she was gonna turn or what?

Name: arielsmom | Date: Jun 4th, 2007 4:33 AM
Yeah, that really sucks. I still work full time and by the time I come home I am so beat - so then I go to lay down and have all this pain and wonder how its possible to go on but in the morning I get a whole new start. I should be using my weekends to relax but I like to get out of the house and do shopping only to find I cant handle all the walking and end up going home like within the hour. I live in California and my doctor had told me she will be checking my cervix weekly from week 36 on. To think I used to be so modest. I feel invaded at times but its for a good cause I guess.

rosey- she mainly told me to not worry about it yet, but i worry about it constantly! she has until 37 weeks to turn on her own, and if she doesnt they are going to try to turn her from manually.

Nikki,
I've read alot that most babies turn like that last week before delivery. A friend of mine had a c-section when her little girl decided to turn right before delivery. I guess even if babies turn there is no guarantee they will stay that way - so dont worry. Your baby will come out and be healthy regardless of her position.

WOW you still work full time !??! i could NOT do that man.. i quit work at 30 weeks or even longer than that !!

Name: arielsmom | Date: Jun 4th, 2007 4:41 AM
Well, I could have gone on leave sooner, but I really want to be out longer once my little girl is here ya know. My last day at work will be June 22nd. Atleast those are my plans, unless baby ariel thinks otherwise hee hee :0)

oh thats good Nikki =P its weird how they can turn a baby eh lol
but some can be really stubborn and go back into the same position ! do u mind getting a C-section if u had to? or are u wanting to do it natural ?

the thing is i have read a lot of material that contradict all of what you just said. brooke has never been head down. im trying to stay positive, but i also feel like i should just schedule the c-section.
i work 3 days a week...so not even close to full time

oh fair enough.. i just quit work all together lol.. im gunna be a stay at home mom for a few years.. prob until she goes to school.. i'll get my boyfriend to work his butt off so i can stay home ahahah.

honestly i dont mind the thought of a c-sec anymore. i actually want to go ahead and schedule the c-sec just in case she doesnt turn after they try to turn her. that way i feel as if i am the one that decided to have a c-sec not that a doctor forced me to have one. i dont know if that sounds strange or not. i would love to have a natural birth but i also want to have some control in my birth

i plan on taking 3 months off when brooke is born, and then going back to work 2 or 3 days a week. its a family business so brooke will be coming with me when i do work.

thats awesome Nikki. wish i had a family business to work at.. AND be able to take my little bubba.... just for the extra cash !! must make things easy on yah !

That must be sooo nice! I am taking 2 months off work. Ive thought about not returning to work but man, I wish I would have never created so many bills for myself. If I would have planned my pregnancy I would have done things financially so differently. I would have loved to be an at home mommy. :0)
