I am now 8 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I'm 29 y.o. and I feel really horrible. I am constantly dizzy to the point that I become nauseous when I stand up. I can't drive or do anything else. I also have a hard time eating even drinking because my stomach is so sour that everything I put in it makes it more upset. I feel really bad and as active as I was (PTA mom w/ a 3 and 5 yr. old) Ive been in bed for the last 2 weeks. The doctors did test and concluded that Im just having a very bad morning sickness. I've tried ginger, sea-sick bands, sudaphed ... Im about to give up. I also can't stand anything sweet cause it makes me nauseous. Any advice?

OH I WOULDNT LIKE TO BE FEELING LIKE THAT, A SHAME. I THINK ITS JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT WILL PROBABLY SETTLE ITSELF DOWN.

I'm pg w/ my 1st and I'm now 18 weeks along. I was so sick in my 1st trimester that I had to stay in my room w/ the blinds down b/c even the sun would make me naucious. It was hard for me to drink any liquids as well. I couldn;t eat soups w/ noodles, only the broth, b/c I'd vomit. My dr. prescribed Regaln, they give it to chemo patients to help digest the food, and that helped somewhat. The only thing that made me feel any better was time. I couldn't imagine feeling the way I did and also having to take care of 2 additional children. I hope you feel better.

I have been feeling the same. I get extremely sick if I move around to much. Like motion sickness from my own walking. It gets to where I am almost in pain because my stomach is so upset. I thought I was fortunate that I quit throwing up - but now it's worse because I don't have the 30-45 minutes of relief I used to have right after throwing up.

I too felt this way I want to say up until today but then I feel like I'm knocking on wood. I'm 15 weeks and have also tried everything including three different prescription medications. It may sound weird but try Pedialyte it won't help the nausea but it could help prevent you from dehydrating. My doctor actually had me use this. Today I feel pretty good, not 100% but better then I have.

I got like that with all 3 pregnancies. I am getting better now but right at about 7 or 8 weeks like you I would be just like you. Even still if I dont eat something like crackers right when I wake up I get really dizzy and crampy. When I was 8 months pregnant with my first I passed out so many times I even fell down the stairs. All I can tell you is try your best to get some sugar in your system.

I was so sick in the beginning of my pregnancy that my doctor prescribed me Zofran just so I could keep some food in and not feel horrible all the time, and let me tell you.... that stuff is amazing!!!!!

I know you might not want to hear this, but I haven't had any morning sickness at all. I have heard that not all people get morning sickness, I guess I should be happy I am getting all the other symptons just not morning sickness

I guess I am in the same boat as Connie... I am currently 6 weeks and never have morning sickness yet... I wonder if that will ever come to me?

i agree with babygirl26 Zofran is a life saver. for me literally. i was in and out of the hospital 4 times in the 1st 3 months of pregnacy. i was so dehydrated from throwing up everything that even thought about going into my mouth! my doc even tried 2 other type of drugs to help keep at least something down but the only thing that worked was Zofran. i was one of those "lucky" 10% of pregnant women that has morning sickness for more than half of my pregnacy. if you can't even keep water down then you need to let you doc now cause you can get very sick. trust me i know! it won't hurt your baby at all. if your not eating and drinking everything you need then your baby will just take it from your body. in my case when i went into the hospital the 1st time they couldn't even get a I.V. in, they had to call a nurse who puts them in premies to be able to find a vain. i got stuck so many times i can't even count so please don't let it get that bad! good luck and take care of your self hun!!!

I cant say what works for me would work in your case but I suppose any advice might help.....Im about 11 weeks and have been sick since about week 6, I use sea bands but if those dont work for you when I feel really sick I usually watch some tv, keep a cool fan on me, drink some ice water with some lemon in it and eat some crackers.....Ive found that if you let yourself get hungry you feel sick even if you dont feel hungry....and eating some crackers helps.....but ice cold lemon water is always my big gun weapon....hope it helps....:o)
