just drink as much water as you possibly can and continue putting your feet up when possible. all the water will make you pee and will slowly help w/ the water retention. i had this problem too (before going in the hospital and after) and it took about 2 weeks for them the get back to normal. ↑ |
The hospital had me drink soda. I am not a big soda drinker so it wasn't my fav but the soda makes you go which gets that extra fluid out. Definitely drink water because you need that while breastfeeding or pumping. You may want to try a Guiness beer, I have heard that it is high in yeast which helps with milk production and I know beer makes you pee and calms you down which also helps with feeding. Wether it is an old wives tale or not I don't know but anything that says to drink beer I am all over. LOL! FYI no need to pump and dump either. ↑ |
My feet were huge when I got home.. Move as much as you can and drink heaps of water... It's ugly, but normal.. ↑ |
mine went down on their own after about 5 days. i couldnt get them to go down for the life of me, even elevating didnt work. my feet still feel bruised. ↑ |
