I saw the topic in the stay at home moms forum about weight loss and I thought it would be great to have some support to make sure we gain the recommended 25-35 lbs and not much more than that. I am due mid December,
I am: 18 weeks
I have gained: 6 pounds
Need to gain :19-29 more
Good thing: Ate cereal and an apple for breakfast, cottage cheese and pineapple for a snack and some whole wheat pasta wtih sauce and a raw tomatoe for lunch.
Bad thing: i really want to eat a bunch of pickles and I Forgot to take my pre-natals I'll go do it now.

I am: 24 weeks
I have gained: 16lbs =( (too much)
Need to gain: started out over weight so nothing would be good according to the doc.
Good thing: i eat well and i exercise plus i take my vitamin every day
Bad Thing: i like going to the movies and get movie popcorn (yes with butter)

I am: 36 weeks
I have gained: 30lbs I was under weight to begin with
I havnt gained any weight in the last about 5 weeks
Good thing: I try and eat well but sometimes I do get those gotta have cravings not much. I go for walks ever night to help stay fit and to help with my labor
Bad thing: When I do get the cravings for something I shouldnt I tend to go over board!

I am : 14 weeks

I have gained: Nothing, I actually lost 8lbs. because of severe morning sickness that doesn't seem to pass.

Need to gain: Was told I guess if I just gain anything at this point that would be good.

Good Thing: Just trying to do my best at eating. It's kind of hard at time knowing that a few minutes of it going in it's coming out.

Bad Thing: Been drinking alot of soda.

Need to gain: 1/2-1lbs a week
Good thing: Me and my 2 yr old do alot of walking
Bad thing: I drink pepsi but am starting to cut back

Hey Ethansmom, I am sure this is like old news to you, but have you tried the ginger root capsuls? I wasn't ever everly sick, but they sure helped with the nausea. I am sorry you are sick!
Also Christen...I love popcorn too and I bought those 100 calorie microwave kind. They are pretty darn good and I just let myself have one a day. it helped...I guess it might not though if you are in a theater....just a thought though.

I am 11 weeks
I have gained: 10 lbs
Need to gain: 20 more
Good thing: I eat pretty healthy
Bad thing: I dont eat breakfast and I eat a lot at night

I am:6 weeks
Have gained: about 3 pounds ( I need to buy a scale! and some of this is the weight of the tumor I have)
Need to gain: about 22 -27 more
Good thing: I eat mostly fresh, un-preserved foods
Bad thing: I eat almost exclusivly at night when my husband gets home. I only snack a little bit during the day - and I'm never really hungry.

Still the same as far as weight gain goes but I have to confess:
Bad thingL I ate 4 of the small sugar daddies suckers righti n a row and indulged in 3 pickels yesterday....aaah!
Good thing: I ate watermelon instead of icecream today...but that is it!

I have gained: 3 lbs
Need to gain: about 10-15 more ( started out at 156 and i am 5'2!)
Good thing: I drink a lot of orange juice, eat a lot of cheerios, salads
Bad thing: I drink 1 cup of coffee a day (12 ounces)
This is my second child and my first is only 16 months, i didn't lose all the weight i gained with him so now my dr wants me to not gain the 65 i gained with my son!!

Man you girls are really making me feel fat!!

I dont really have an update except..
Good: cut down to 2 cups coffee a day instead of 12
Bad: Cant wear any of my old jeans and I m only like 11 weeks :(

Haha mommyagain thats not a good way to look at it. i am heavier than I wish I was but its for the baby cause I dont indulge(to much) haha. I started overweight but have done good so far

No change in weight here thank you for that. bad thing i had two sodas this weekend. and i'm still drinking water today to make up for it. good things i have been grilling food instead of eating fried food much healthier and tastier i just have to make sure my food is well done other than that i'm good how about you ladies.

I find sometimes I am really hungry and others I am not. I was really hungry in my 4 week, but this week I'm not( week 6).
But I have my doc's appointment today and I also bought a scale so I will see my weight gain then.

need to gain: weight is fine
good thing: take my vitamin everyday n my bf stuff fruits down my mouth lol
bad thing: im addicted to coke im startin to cut back but i get urges to drink it lol

I have lost: 15 pounds
Need to gain: 25-35 more
Good thing: My doctors are keeping track of the baby to make sure everything is okay.
Bad thing: I always forget to take my pre-natal, and no matter what I eat I cant gain weight!

Here is a link for a pregnancy weight chart. i thought I was gaining to much weight but when i charted it out im actually doing pretty good im actually a lil under than what i should be but still gaining consistanly

I am: 39 weeks
I have gained: 25 lbs
Need to gain: NO MORE!
Good thing: I eat a cucumber everyday, i love eating fruits and veggies
Bad thing: the last few weeks i've been craving (and eating) soda, and anything sweet or chocolatey, I've also been really bad about taking my prenatals because they've been making me feel sick
