I dont really know where to begin. I am 39 weeks 4 days pregnant. my little girl (who hasn't got a name yet, any suggestions would be appreciated) is due monday (31/7/06).
i was out last night with my mates. i was on my home and i had to walk through an alleyway. i have wallked down that alley every day of my life and its normally very safe I had no reason to worry . It was 11 pm and i was alone. I was chatting away to my bump whan someone grabbed me, pushed me to the floor and raped me. I was screaming and crying i felt the baby moving i think he did to cos when he finished he got up and touched my bump then kicked it 3 times and then he ran off. i went home. My parents and b/f (who lives with us) knew something was wrong, i couldnt tell them what had really happened so i just said that i had a row with my mates and i went to bed i didn't sleep i juslay there stroking my bump i was getting worried cos she hadn't moved yet and she usually quite active. but at arouund 3 am she moved so i relaxed a bit at least she was ok for the time being. but she hasnt moved since and for nearly an hour i have had really strong period type cramps. I am scared something could be wrong with her . If last night harmed her in her in any way i would never forgive myself . she is my first baby i miscarried when i was 14 i am now 16 nearly 17 . ↓

Oh sweety, do me a favor and report this and make sure that the baby is checked out. Hopefully everything is okay, but it is better to be safe then sorry. If something is wrong with her you need to remember that this was not your fault, you did not ask to be raped and you were not the one that harmed her.
The strong period like cramps could be your body going into labor because of the trama of hit kicks, but again you do not want to assume this to find out that if you went to the hospital just a few seconds sooner everything would have been okay. Please go talk to someone and please have your baby checked out. ↑ |

Yes, by all means get to a doctor or even the emergency room FIRST! They can take a record from you and pass it on to police if you don't want to repeat everything from that awful event over and over again.
Those cramps you're having are quite likely labor pains, or either you feeling some trauma from what that jerk did to you. Go to the hospital and make sure your little one is alright.

| ok i have just got back from the health center the duty midwife took her heart beat and she absoultly fine as far as they can tell. she exmained me and i am 1 cm dilated she will be here in a few hours. i was told to go home and wait till the contractions are 5 mins apart before going to the hospital. it could take hours. i am so excited. the time is really dragging on i really need something to do to pass the time ↑ |

| i just wanted to let you guys that baby no name is here she was born at 2:38 pm at Hillingdon Hospital i was discharged first thing this morning ( about 9 30 am when the doc did his rounds) thank god lol. she wieghs 7lb 30oz which is a healthy wieght so the midwife said she is 17 inches long and most importantly she is perfectly healthy !!! omg i love her so much it is weid just a day ago she was in my belly safe now she is out here in the big wide world its so scary. any ways about the whole rape thing every one knows knows now the midwife saw the bruises on my upper thigh so before i left the hospital i had an examination to collect the traces of semen and dna that belong to the rapist and i have spoken to the police it was the worse thing ever it was so humlitating and arrrrrrr it was horrible . Me and the baby are going to have to have hiv tests next week just to make sure we havent caught anything why does the baby need one ? the hospital is going to reffer me to a concellor . i am just going to push every thing to the back of my mind and focus on my little girl ↑ |

| Well unlike these other girls I have no reason to not believe you and im glad your lil girl is healthy. Do you need names for her? If I was gonna have a girl which im not lol I would have chosen Haylee Ann, Kaitlyn Ann, or Nevea Jane. My Im having a lil boy he will be Brian DAle Wilson. And for everyones info I was dialated to a 1 for only a few hours and then got stuick at a 5 and was discharged the next day. ↑ |

| Under the insurance system in the US more often than not new mothers and babies ARE discharged the following day as long as they are healthy. Many C-Section moms are discharged the 3rd day (I don't mean after 3 full days either). She might be lying, she might not. Noone here has the right to judge her on that. SO....if you are telling the truth of things...CONGRATS!!! ↑ |

| What I'm saying is: there are a lot of things in your story that don't ring true. Maybe you rushed some things, maybe you left out some pertinent information. I don't care. If you have a newborn I wish you all the luck with her. Otherwise I wish people would stop playing on the sympathy of the mothers in here. PS: Hillingdon Hospital is in the UK not the US. And the recent rash of girls from the UK who are raped and/or pregnant, or pregnant and raped is becoming way too much for this mommy to bear. Forgive my skepticism but certain things are way too coincidental to my trained eyes and senses. And Sarah M; I'd double check your information on not naming your baby. The last time I gave birth the rules had changed because social security numbers are issued for your child after birth, meaning a name must be given to the hospital before discharge. But again Lizard_lady_2006 isn't from the US, so that part is moot. ↑ |
