hiya i'm new to this forum and must apologise in advance if this becomes a long post but i need advice asap, we have been trying for baby number 3 for just over 2 yrs now but stopped trying in september, but since my last period i have got a lot of pregnancy symptoms -- sore veiny slightly enlarged boobs with leaking nipples, its only a tiny amount of colostrum but its there and they havent leaked anything since our daughter was 6 mths she is now nearly 5 yrs, constant feeling of being tired, need to pee more often, constipation, ratty one minute then weepy the next, frequent headaches, lower abdominal cramps but the one thing worrying me is for the past 3/4 days i have been bleeding, its only a small amount and only there when i wipe (sorry for to much info) but my period isnt due for another 4 days and doesnt normally start like this, the blood so far has been very pink in colour and not red and has been in a mixture of cervical mucus (again sorry for tmi) my periods normally are very heavy with not much warning of its arrival. could this be spotting and if so how long should it last? i have done an early response test that came back neg but with other 2 we fell pregnant straight away without trying even tho i was 7 weeks at the earliest when we found out. could it just be that i haven't enough hcg in my body yet to show on a test or is it just my body playing tricks on me, any advice would be greatly appreciated as i'm at my wits end at the moment ↓

you could be pregnant, now that you have stopped trying it may have been easier to get pregnant because the stress of trying is no longer weighing on your sholders.you should wait until you miss your period, if your period is regular then 1 day after your late take a pregnancy test. ↑

The deal with leaky boobies happened to me too about 2 weeks before I found out I was REALLY pregnant. You should maybe go to the doctor and get a serum (blood) test done to see if your body is producing the pregnancy hormone. It will pick up even the trace amounts that the at-home urine tests can overlook. Likewise, try different brands of tests. More expensive isn't always better in that case. ↑

thanks for the responses, has any body ever had spotting in early pregnancy and if so how heavy has it got? i've heard of some women that say they thought it was their period but not quite as heavy. my bleeding has got slighty darker today and has gone from pink to red but i normaly have very heavy periods that just start with no gradual build up (sorry to much info) but this is still only there when i wipe. feeling very confused at the moment as i still have all the symptoms ↑

Both times that I was pregnant I had spotting that I thought was my period starting. I also had other normal pms symptoms like moodiness, pimples, cramps etc. I kept waiting and waiting and eventually took pregnancy tests when I was about a week late. Pregnant both times! I'm about 6 weeks along right now and have no sypmtoms whatsoever (not that I'm complaining) but with my first I had very sore breasts and all day nausea. Also, I know that if you are really wanting to be pregnant your mind can trick your period into coming late. Sometimes a negative preg. test will kick your body into motion and bring on the period. ↑

just an update on my last post, my bleeding has got a little heavier now and is more red than pink (sorry once again for tmi) and i have been having really uncomfortable cramps mainly in my right side and i dont normally have any pain during af, its still loads lighter than my af normally is which is very unusual also more strange is if its af its come early and that NEVER happens to me if anything its generaly late by a few days to a few weeks. its really starting to get me down and is messing with my head a little as i still have all the symptoms? so whats going on there i dont know. i'm going to try and get an appointment with my gp asap, ↑
