It was awesome! Like, I can't even describe the feeling I got just being able to see what my son looks like. Now I really can't wait till he gets here! He's going to be one big boy though, so we'll see how that goes. Anyway, you can see them in my myspace blog:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW that is soooo cute. i can't wait to have a 3d!!! ↑ |
I had one with my first and she looked just like her US. In fact, she still does!! ↑ |
Awesome photo. ARe the 3d's covered by medical insurance? ↑ |
I don't know. My sister got to have hers because her doctor office had just gotten the machine and they wanted to practice using it!! I went to a private place called Already Adorable and paid a fair amount, but it was worth it. They wouldn't let me do it though until I had mine with my regular doctor during that 18 - 20 week period because they say it's not diagnostic, just entertainment. ↑ |
They're called 3D/4D - 4D means you can see the baby moving. 3D means you can see it in 3D. 2D is what you normally get at the doctor in black and white. Even though you may see the baby move during a 2D, you don't usually get a video like you do with the 4D. Sorry - that may be confusing!! ↑ |
Aww your baby is so cute!!! ↑ |
AAAAAAWWWWWWW isn't it awsome i had one too he was sucking his thumb and he looks like his daddy it was so sweet. ↑ |
aaaaawwwww he is cute my lil man is so far in my back he couldn't be seen like that those are really good pics of him aaaaaaawwwwwww!!!! ↑ |
Yeah it cost me $205 (but I got a ton of stuff with it too) and it wasn't covered by my insurance. But Missmara is right, 4D is the video part and 3D is the picture part. It was so cool to see him, we got to see him smile and open and close his eyes and yawn....it was really amazing.
If you're going to get one, I really suggest you wait till your 30-34 weeks because your baby is chubbier and easier to see. A few of my friends got one as soon as they could but they didn't really turn out that great to be honest. Just don't wait too long because then the baby will be too big to get a good picture and it will come out all squished and what not. At least that's what the lady that did mine said. ↑ |
some ins co will cover 3d US and not they are not the same as 2d. the difference between 3d and 4d is that with 4d you can see the baby move in "real time" it is like having a video camara. the pics look the same as the 3d US though. ↑ |
My fave part of mine was seeing the baby yawn too!! I watched that part over and over. It was such a miracle to me, and I think it helped with the bonding experience. I really felt like I knew Sophie when she was born. ↑ |
I bet it just makes you want to cry, (excitment tears) I mean. ↑ |
Oh both me and my husband cried during the whole thing!! This is corny, but sometimes I still cry when I'm holding her and she's sleepy and just staring in my eyes with that loving look. Could be the prego hormones - I don't know!! ↑ |
I think its called " Wow is she really mine did we really created this little being," I am sure a wonderful feeling ↑ |
Haha - I have that thought a lot! My DH loves to joke around, and when I come home and he's with the baby, he'll say - "Someone left this baby for us. Do you think we should keep her? She's really cute..." But it's true - that feeling of awe has lasted almost 7 months already. ↑ |
How about a lifetime!!!!! ha ha ha Awe.... I dont have any babies still trying but I have a newphew now 3 yrs old and everytime I see him I just cannot help but to kiss him 24/7
He brightens my day. So I am sure when its our own its a thousand times better. ↑ |
my insurance will cover one 3-d ultrasound. If i want to have another one i have to pay for it ↑ |
Baby is beautiful!
