Hello Girls! Thank you SOOO much for all the kind words and thoughts. I just popped home for 2 seconds to pick up some things and wanted to update. Thank you for the phone call Maxie - and thank you for updating for me Jenny (i'll call you tomorrow).
Josh is doing better - he's still got an IV and now a feeding tube. He's eating well - breast milk via bottle - but he is so tiny that sucking is hard work. The feeding tube will allow me to get breast milk straight to his tummy and help him gain weight. Hopefully before to long they will take out the IV and it will all be tube/bottle. Besides that he's healthy as can be. Very alert and loving to look around now. He's completely fascinated with his daddy!!! lol. I think he likes him better than me sometimes! The kids came to see him yesterday and they are really really excited about him. Brittani practically grabbed him like a pro even with his tubes and everything. She wasn't scared of them a bit! Brandon, of course, was a little bit leary of all the wires but he held him, too. Josh was born on Brandons birthday - so now we've got two guys on the same day!
It's been sort of tough having to pump and run back and forth across the hospital - but we're doing okay. We've gotten very comfortable in our room since we'll be staying quite a while. Thank god they let us stick around in an extra room instead of sending me home. I don't know how he'd be doing without us there. He cannot have forumla at all, we think he's allergic... so I'm attack to the pump like a cow! lol.
He lost some of his birth weight and is down to 4lbs 14oz now.. but that's normal. He'll be gaining it back soon.
I think we will be home maybe NEXT Monday or so - but it really all depends on how his feeding goes. Hopefully it's soon. I'll post pictures next time I come home - I didn't bring my camera this trip.
