im 35 weeks pregnant...i have a feeling i wont last the next 5 weeks, hopefully she comes in like 2 weeks then she'll be full term, but i have no say in that she will come when she's ready...im just getting to that uncomfortable stage. im thinking about whether i should work till i go into labor or to take a week off before my due date? what do you all think? or what are you planning on doing?...jasmin

well, right now i stay at home with my 2 yr old, so i'm going to work up until i go into labor...LOL : ) with him, i worked up until i was 38 weeks, b/c my dr started streching out my cervix. some people work until they actually go into labor, and some take off a week or two before. it all depends on the person and how comfortable they are....good luck!!

My last day of work is on the 28th and I will be just about 35 weeks at that point.

I don't think I could make it through March. I'm so exhausted at work as is.

I'm not returning to work after I have my baby so I might take off 2-3 weeks before I'm due, I'm just ready to be done with this job. But then I don't want to go crazy sitting at home doing nothing for 3 weeks either.

I would work until you go into labor because you can go crazy at home waiting for the baby to come.

I'm working as long as a can. I can work remotely from home so I'll probably do that til my water breaks ;) But I'd like to be out of the office by week 38. NOt because I need it but because this place makes me crazy.

When I was pregnant with Sophie I was teaching 4th grade and it was really hard at the end. I stopped working at 36 weeks, but I had really bad swelling and my doctor said that I needed to be off my feet more (not easy to do in a room of 26 10 year olds!) I used the time to really pamper myself and enjoy time with my husband since I knew our lives would never be the same!

Well do what you think is best for you, if you think you need time to prepare and rest before baby then that is what you should do, I personally worked until 9 days before she was born and I seriously didnt think that I would make it but I could have worked all the way until the day I had her and been fine! So do whatever you think, good luck!

I'm planning on working until about 2 wks before my due date -- I'm on my feet a lot and it's getting hard already (I'm almost 32 wks)...but I just want some time to make sure everything's ready :)
