You wouldn't really want to tell her that you did it on your first try. That would be like rubbing it in her face. Maybe just call her and tell her.
Good luck.

Sara's right don't tell her it was the first time. Try not to make your pregnancy the topic of ALL future conversations. Expect her to be happy for you and says she's fine but also expect her to go home and cry, cry, and cry some more. Trust me it is hard when you feel like the only person who will never have a child in a world full of pregnant women.

you could try to ake her feel better about it by making her the god mother or asking her to be there to help you

Hi jewel ! Congrats on your pregnancy.
I am, like your friend, dealing with fertility issues... we have been for about 2.5yrs now. It is very difficult for 'us' to hear of others getting pregnant - after we have been thru fertility treatments (IVF etc...).... BUT, if she is truly your friend - she will be soooo excited for you!!!!
You should enjoy your pregnancy, every single bit of it - there is no reason why you should suffer .... be excited !!!!!
You are a very sweet person to take your friends feelings into consideration ..... the way that I cope is that I know one of these days, i will have a baby .... whether is biological or adopted (same thing... haha)

Good Luck!
