I'm only 7 weeks pregnant and I have already gained 7 pounds. And I only eat salads and healthy stuff. This makes no sense! My husband was a rather large baby,.. Well he should of been his mother was a coke addict and when he was born he was 4 lbs, but after he was out of her and was off the coke he went up to like 13 pounds in like two weeks! Does this mean we're having a large baby? Could that be why I'm gaining weight already? I think i have a baby belly, it's kind of hard and forming roundly..

Don’t worry too much. I gained 6-7 lbs right away as well and then it slowed way down. I am 38 weeks now and have only gained 25lbs total. Eat healthy and stay off the sweets, you’ll be fine. I thought it was strange that I gained that much that fast in the beginning too.

don't worry about your weight gain. it's too early in the game to be much of a concern. i didn't gain any weight and actually lost two pounds up until i was 24 weeks. i was 125 when i got pregnant. now, i'm 35 weeks pregnant and weigh 164. no, i'm not a pig. i eat very healthy and am very active. as long as you know you're eating healthy and exercising in moderation, you shouldn't worry.

:) be lucky you can eat salads and healthy stuff, by about 9 weeks veggies made me want to throw up sight smell everything , it wasn't until I hit about 26 weeks that I started to be able to eat them again. Weight varies , so don't worry to much about it some women retain lots of water for example I am puffy all over not enough to be a medical problem but enough to probably tip the scales , your breasts grow which adds a couple pounds , the placenta weighs in on its own and all the other stuff in there to help the baby grow. I gained twelve pounds in my first trimest and now at 29 weeks I have allready gained like 25 pounds , so your weight gain sounds about average, and it doesn't mean you will have a large baby. As long as your doctor says you are fine , don't worry two much about it , my trick now I step into my pre-pregnancy jeans and as long as they fit comfy everywere but the waist then I know I'm ok thats my way of mesuring my weight gain .

When I went to the doctors last I only gained like 4 pounds. She wasn't concerned.. I'm puffy too.. Now fat but I'm "chubby" like 15 pounds over weight I guess. I'm just concerned with the weight gain. I don't wear my regular clothes anymore I'm in scrubs a lot, thank god i bought them big. I've been living in my sweat pants for the past two weeks.. My jeans aren't comfy much anymore. I'm happy everyone says it's normal though. makes me feel better!
